Let’s take a deep dive into the world of Benny Blanco, an incredibly talented American songwriter. Benny was born in 1988 and discovered his love for music at just six years old when he started listening to Nas and All-4-One. Needless to say, Benny had the experience and skills to pursue his solo songwriting and producing career by 2011.
And pursue it he did! Benny quickly made a name for himself, writing and producing songs for Gym Class Heroes, 3OH!3, and Maroon 5, among others. He was the mastermind behind Maroon 5’s platinum-selling album Overexposed (2012), which featured the hit song “Payphone” with Wiz Khalifa. In 2013, Benny was recognized for his incredible talent when he received the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony.
Since then, Benny has racked up a ton of other awards, including iHeartRadio Producer of the Year and BMI Songwriter of the Year.
