Marc was born on September 16, 1968, in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, Guillermina and Felipe. He’s the youngest of eight siblings, and he grew up in East Harlem, where he was raised Roman Catholic.
Music runs in Marc’s blood, and he inherited his talent from his father, who taught him how to sing in both Spanish and English. As a kid, Marc began his musical journey by listening to a variety of genres, including freestyle music and underground New York house music. Later on, he worked as a session vocalist and songwriter for popular groups like Menudo and the Latin Rascals. But to avoid confusion with his namesake, he started going by the name Marc Anthony.

He even made a couple of guest appearances in the TNT medical drama “HawthoRNe” in 2010, where he played the love interest of Jada Pinkett Smith’s character. But love was not done with Anthony yet. He tied the knot with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres in 2000, and together they had two sons. However, things got a little rocky, and they separated in 2002 before reconciling briefly. Unfortunately, the couple ultimately decided to call it quits in January 2004.
Just a few months later, in June 2004, Anthony got hitched again – this time to singer Jennifer Lopez. Together they welcomed twins Emme and Maximillian in 2008. Sadly, Anthony and JLo’s love story ended in 2011, and their divorce was finalized in 2014.
